Northern Ireland has the highest rate of stray, abused, and abandoned animals in the UK, with many more animals being put down due to a lack of available homes compared to other regions. Instead of having a central sanctuary, 7th Heaven cares for animals in the homes of volunteers, which allows for more personalized care and attention. The Trust operates under a no-kill policy, ensuring that every animal is given the chance for a loving home.
